SUMMARY:Craeft Fayre - Archaeology and heritate crafts
DESCRIPTION:Local experimental archaeologists\, living historians and craftspeople are coming together to tell the story of the Blackdown Hills National Landscape with a truly unique and immersive dive into ten thousand years of our archaeological story. \nOver two days we’ll be welcoming the public to experience our long distant past with a celebration of the crafts that shaped our early human-legacy. Come join a guided tour through time as we explore the forgotten skills of our hunter-gatherer ancestors\, the magic of the Bronze Age and the crafts of the Anglo Saxons. Learn the ancient skills to knap a flint arrowhead in our Mesolithic encampment\, watch as rock is turned to molten bronze with our team of prehistoric experts\, or meet the inhabitants of our pop-up Saxon village. \nThere’ll be opportunities to create your own clay pot\, have a go at archery\, try your hand at making prehistoric jewellery along with a whole host of other crafts! \n10am to 4pm daily \nClick here for Google Map \nWhat3Words: shield.left.peach \nEntry £10 per car \n
