SUMMARY:Water Ways - The Shippon Gallery
DESCRIPTION:Exhibition 18th April until 31st May 2026 \nAt a time when water pollution and its politics flows through all our minds\, the Shippon Gallery\, sitting surrounded by springs and waterworks\, is the perfect place to show art about our responses to water.  Members of the artist group\, BHAAM\, reflect on their relationship with water and the water ways of the Blackdown Hills\, known for its high rainfall and unique watery landscape. \nThe artists’ work will include pieces that examine positive human interventions such as a nearby marshland restoration project\, the pervasiveness of plastic in our waterways\, the sheer beauty of these waterways\, and our human connection with water and trees. \nAlice Crane\, Bronwen Gundry\, Dave King\, Pauline Rook\, Katherine Creasey\, Gordon Field\, Sally Hebeler\, Nicky Saunter\, Liz Gregory\, Phillip Kerr\, Tim Martin\, Andre Wallace \nOpen Thursday – Sunday 12 noon – 5pm or by prior arrangement 01460 220021 \nFor more information visit www.theshippongallery.com/www.bhaam.org.uk    \nNote that local roads are badly affected by potholes. Additional space is usually available at Hook crossroads\, approx. 200 yards away. \nAbout BHAAM \nBHAAM (Blackdown Hills Artists and Makers) is a group of professional artists making contemporary art within a rural context\, seeking to uncover what this means for artists and audiences today. 07976118650 www.bhaam.org.uk \nAbout the Shippon Gallery \nThe Shippon Gallery opened in September 2017 in a converted milking parlour to show sculpture and drawings by Dave King in biannual displays alongside work by distinguished guest artists.
