DESCRIPTION:Throw it away? No way! \nIf you have items around the house in need of repair\, don’t toss them away. Bring them along to Blackdown Hills Repair Café! \nThe repairs vary from month to month\, depending on which volunteers are available. \nFixes vary depending on which volunteers are available on the day but usually include repairs to electrical items\, ceramics\, clothing\, textiles\, jewellery\, computers\, furniture\, sewing machines\, chainsaws\, lawnmowers\, wheelbarrows\, bicycles and garden tools. Get the latest updates on our Facebook page. \nThere is also someone on hand to sharpen knives and tools. \nIf your computer is a bit sluggish and needs some fine tuning\, the team of computer volunteers an take a look. \nWe also like upcycling and re-purposing\, so please come along if this strikes a chord with you. \nA selection of repair materials will be available\, but feel free to bring your own if you have any. \nTea\, coffee and cake will be on sale. \nAdmission free. This event is run solely by volunteers – donations for repairs welcome. \nHemyock is accessible by bus on a Saturday via route 20 which runs from Taunton\, Wellington and Honiton. \n
