Drop in to learn about archaeology in the Blackdown Hills. Handle historic artefacts and test your knowledge with our archaeological finds quiz. \nJoin Alex Farnell from Avalon Planning & Heritage for tips on researching your local historic landscape using the Historic Environment Record and the Devon Environment Viewer. \nFree family crafts and activities: \n\nHave a go at a mini archaeological excavation.\nTry your hand at weaving or craft an Iron Age roundhouse.\nMake a clay coil pot to take home.\n\nRefreshments available:\nChardstock Eco Group will be serving teas\, coffees\, and tasty treats for a donation. \nDrop-in event\, but let us know you’re coming by reserving a ticket! \nThis event is part of the Blackdown Hills National Landscape Festival of Heritage 2024. \n \n
